SOUTH Tenerife homes development has won a Daily Mail award for its innovative
concept.San Blas Village, located next to Golf del Sur, was awarded Best Spanish Islands Development at this year’s ceremony, for the incorporation of a nature reserve into its design.
The exclusive resort, comprising 116 state-of-the-art homes with room service, set amid lakes, rivers and meadows, with a five-star hotel and sports clubs, was tipped for success before the awards night held at the House of Commons.
Judges, including Eric Pickles MP, Mail property journalist Nigel Lewis and National Association of Estate Agents chief executive Peter Bolton King, considered reader votes, logged through the Daily Mail’s website.
They voted San Blas the best island development after seeing a presentation and plans for the resort.
Spanish construction and hotel group AQA was pleased to win the award when their bold project came out as top development with regard to all Spanish islands.
Tenerife Property Shop, the exclusive selling agents for the resort, also hailed the award as an important success.
Director Bruce Grindley said: “San Blas is fantastic because prices haven’t jumped up yet, but they will.
“It has the best potential for rental income because of all the hotel facilities, the nature reserve and the spa. In the next five years you will have people staying in the five-star hotel. They will be looking across at the villas and I think the demand will bump up prices.
“It has not simply good potential for capital growth, but also the potential for extremely good rental income.”
Partner and director, Mary Spencer, added: “These recognitions show something is being done right.”
Tenerife Property Shop S.L. also won an award for Best Spanish Islands Real Estate Agency.
